Germany surprises its visitors with its castles, autobahns, picture-perfect countryside and Mt Zugspitze in the Bavarian Alps.

Of all the pretty mountain villages I have seen, Garmisch-Partenkirchen is the best of all. And to think that I almost missed going there!

You can see the whole of Heidelberg in a day or less but if you must acquaint yourself with everything here, a few days are recommended.

Frankfurt is an interesting city to visit. Not quite up in the ranks of the touristic circles, but definitely worth a visit.
