A city that saw extreme highs and lows, Bulawayo is often ignored by travelers as a destination. But one visit to this city lined with jacaranda trees will change your opinion forever.

Standing in the immigration queue waving the filled-out arrival form, I half- hoped that my declaration of being a “writer/blogger” would gain me extra attention. I smiled at the thought.

Anyone who loves trains, old or new, will, at some point in life, make their way to Bulawayo’s Railway Museum. So, I’ll make this personal. Because I love trains, that’s why.
