Looking forward to seeing more of this beautiful country. Is it true that visitors are given wine bottles as they arrive? What about visa for Georgia?

The first and last thing I know about Georgia is that every articulate Foreign Minister of the former Soviet Union, Eduard Shevardnadze (who went to on to be the first President after Georgia became a country). I guess I stopped watching news on TV after that or something. So I have a clean slate vis-a-vis knowledge of the country. Can’t wait to absorb your blow by blow account of the mystery land!

Wow!!! I’ll be completely honest – I had never even heard of Georgia before your posts. If I’m ever in the area, I definitely want to visit!!! Thank you for opening my eyes to the world!
