Located in the beautiful Turkish province of Antalya, an hours drive from the Antalya airport, Club Med Palmiye is a perfect place to holiday between the sea and mountains. The Resort and its setting are tailor-made for a terrific vacation to be enjoyed without worrying about a thing, thanks to Club Med’s all- inclusive package.

The Antalya province (nicknamed the Turkish Riviera) lies on the Mediterranean shore in southwest Turkey and has everything vacationers could ask for. The highly unusual landscape – the sea and mountains make it a magical getaway.

Either way, Club Med Palmiye is a perfect base from which to discover the old port along its turquoise coast as well as the vestiges of Hadrian’s Gate (built in 130 AD) and Hidirlik Tower (also 2nd century AD), among other historical sites well worth seeing in the vicinity. A wide variety of heritage sites around here recount the rich history of Turkey, the Ottoman Empire and the ancient civilizations that once thrived here.

A different Riviera

Set against the backdrop of the Taurus Mountains – some over 3,000 meters high – and along a long sandy beach, Club Med Palmiye enjoys views of the Mediterranean  Sea, lush green vegetation and a Mediterranean climate. An ideal destination for a change of scene and a change of pace for body and mind.  Live performances of local music and traditional Turkish dances keep you entertained and offer a glimpse into the local life.

The art of living well

Even the Resort’s lobby has a chic and laid-back seaside atmosphere with the feel of a yacht club. Light- hued walls, white canvas sails suspended from the ceiling, shiny polished-metal arches, a white mosaic and light wood flooring fuse to create a bright, welcoming ambiance. Braided-wood furniture, armchairs and sofas in various fabrics welcome guests who are waiting to check in, relaxing after a walk or meeting up before a waterskiing session.

The two accommodation areas at Club Med Palmiye are the Villagio, set in a bougainvillea garden, and the Resort’s seafront Hotel, with 478 and 242 rooms respectively. Two-thirds of the rooms have just been refurbished. Plentiful natural light, bright colors and a breezy seaside spirit set the tone.

The Villagio: An ode to nature -the 478 rooms of the Villagio are nestled in a peaceful, harmonious haven surrounded by flower- filled, tree-shaded gardens. They features light wood furnishings, immaculate flagstone flooring, a chaise longue to stretch your legs out – and some lodgings now have their own terraces, which extend the living space into the pleasant outdoor ambience. The upshot is a perfect setting in which to savor the moment to the full.

Restaurants

The Olympus: A lively open-air atmosphere situated in the Villagio section of the Resort, this restaurant features open-air buffets laid out under a vast pergola. It’s a lively restaurant, with several areas for indoor and outdoor dining – a warm and friendly atmosphere that’s ideal for meals with family or friends.

The Phaselis: A more muted, elegant setting. This second restaurant, on the ground floor of the Resort’s Hotel, has two completely refurbished interior dining rooms, in which shades of blue, ochre and almond green evoke the hues of ancient Turkey. Meals can also be enjoyed outside in a quieter, more refined ambiance on a very large, shaded terrace. The two restaurants have the same menu. Both serve Turkish and international cuisine, with a selection of healthy dishes that varies daily according to arrivals of fresh fish and seasonal produce from the local markets. So the menu will delight diners eager to try local specialties as
well as those who prioritize a balanced diet.

The Topkapi and the Bosphore: To savor the local flavors, two specialty restaurants – the Topkapi and the Bosphore – celebrate the very best of Antalyan and Turkish cuisine. Open for dinner only, the Topkapi stands out with its expansive terrace, plated service and a selection of roasted and grilled meats. The Bosphore offers table service throughout the day and evening, including late breakfasts and lunches.

The Tulipe Bar

The brand-new Tulipe Bar by the hotel pool is readily recognizable thanks to its subtle blue-and-white décor, cushioned armchairs and wicker banquette seating. The whole bar is shaded by broad, spotless parasols.

The Lalezar Bar

The Lalezar Bar’s, near the entrance of the hotel, more subdued lounge is an open invitation to sit down and have a drink, play chess or dive into a good book. Wood, ropes, mirrors and bayadère fabrics here harmonize with the long, off-white curtains. A perfect mix for a casual but refined ambiance that lures guests to lounge and linger.

The Zen Pool Bar

Tucked away in the adults-only areas, the Zen pool bars at the Villagio and the Hotel are all about calm and quiet. Comfortable
seating, total tranquility and a refreshing drinks menu make them the ideal spots to extend a reading break or sip a smoothie after a few relaxing laps.

The Efes bar

Set just a few steps from the water, the beach bar is made for sea lovers. It’s the go-to for a refreshing drink between watersports or while soaking in the view, feet in the sand and eyes on the horizon.
