One of the most picturesque of all towns in China, Guilin comes a shock after the chaos of Beijing or Shanghai or the rather old world landscapes of Xi'an or Chengdu.

I have mixed reactions for China - I loved it as much as I hated it! But I think, I loved it more than I hated it.

A ride on River Li from Guilin to Yangshou takes about four hours - but you bring back memories enough for a lifetime!
