Mingun, for some reason had not featured on my list, despite the fact that on every map, I saw the wave-like white Pagoda and admired it immensely.

Mandalay is the country's cultural and Buddhist centre.  Full of pagodas and interesting sites, Mandalay exudes a certain charm not found in any other city in the country.
