Cambodia, as a tourist destination should rank higher than it currently does. I have spent some wonderful weeks here, traveling and eating cheap.
Kampot
Small towns that I really liked
Endless natural beauty, small stores filled to the roof with wares, worn out buildings, charming cottages, clean streets, sidewalk cafes…old libraries, the only cinema theater…nothing brings a smile like an small town does!
Why Kep is a delightful seaside town worthy of visit
Kep, a tiny sea-side town in Cambodia, once ruled by the French is often overlooked by tourists, because, apart from the lazy white beaches, Rabbit Island, an abandoned (or haunted) Bokor Palace and Hotel in Kampot, some caves, Kep National Park and pepper plantations – there is not much to hold a tourists attraction.
Bokor Palace & Hotel is a great place for ghoul-hunting
If you are looking for ghouls and some adventure, head to Bokor Palace in Kampot, Cambodia.
Travel health issues
Health is an issue most often ignored by travelers assuming the ‘nothing is gonna touch me’ attitude who then return with different types of sickness contracted from around the world…some with no cure.
Almost Intrepid | Mishap in the sea – Cambodia 3
I liked to pretend that eating tarantulas was all right and after a while, I forgot that it was not, when I snapped the legs and put it into my mouth.
